I absolutely love comics. Always have. I started off flipping through Garfield comics before I could even read, I was entranced. It takes quite a creative mind to make a lasagna-loving fat cat interesting to the masses :-).
I grew up loving the Disney channel and would eagerly await the arrival of the Sunday papers just so I could get the ‘Disney Planet’ pull out. It was a fun filled booklet with plenty of comics and jokes fashioned around the much loved (by many) Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto to mention but a few.
Along side this I loved to read Tintin comics as well as the Beano and the Dandy. With stories of Dennis the Menace and his dog Knasher, Beryl the Peril, Desperate Dan. . . The list is endless
And as a person who loves history I was super psyched when I discovered Asterix and Obelix!! I mean how amazing are those potion-drinking villagers!!! Lol
My love for comics grew more when I discovered a Crock comic in a little book store in Watford. I must have read that book cover to cover like 100 what it said was true “Crock: you cannot escape from the legion, or this book!”
Later on I was introduced to Archie comics which I found equally hilarious.
All in all my list of favourite comic books is as follows;
1) Asterix and Obelix
2) Crock
3) Garfield
4) The Beano and The Dandy
5) Tintin
