HEART BEAT
He rose from his scars,
Each blow dealt him a step in his ladder.
My heart beats for him.
It beats for he who has learned to love,
Like he has never been by mortal man;
Fiercely!
It beats for the man who offers life on his sleeves,
A heart on the base of strong arms,
Stronger than ribs;
Hug him to know him.
He climbs to freedom
On the backs of his failures,
Bringing to earth the castles he built,
On the airs of others doubt.
It thuds for him,
This heart of mine.
For him who like a butterfly knows not his beauty,
But stands confident in the fields of life.
My heart thunders
For the man whose love lights up the grey skies.
He unlocks as easily as a Rubik’s cube,
He’s a complex rainbow.
To touch his mind is not to touch his heart,
To ignite his soul is to find agua de Vida.
Bang my heart’s drums with his silence,
My chest cavity sings a symphony for his sadness.
My heart pumps his life in it’s madness,
A fine frenzy.
My heart beats for him in oneness
As he soars on the wings of his errors.
